Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies (ABR) is hosting a double alpaca show
The Great Western Alpaca Show and
The Rocky Mountain Alpaca Showdown
at the Event Center at Archer, 3801 Archer Parkway, Cheyenne, WY
on May 1-5, 2024
We will need multiple volunteers daily for either full (0730 to 1730) or half day (0730-1330 or 1130-1730) participation slots. Full day volunteers will be provided with lunch vouchers. All volunteers will be provided certified letters for hours completed for EPR's. Hours completed for this show will satisfy yearly quotas.
The Volunteer positions needed are listed below:
Traffic (8 personnel) May 2nd only
Auctioneer (1 person) May 3rd 1700-1930
Suri alpaca ring (4 personnel)/Huacaya alpaca ring (4 personnel) Performance/Obstacle (6 personnel) May 4th half day/am -
May 5th half day/afternoon
Walking Fleece set up (2 personnel) May 1st only
Gate Keepers (4 personnel), Ring Steward (4 personnel)
Hospitality/Show Check-in (4 personnel per day) May 3-5
Veterinarian Check (4 personnel) May 2nd only
Ribbons/Banners (2 personnel) May 2nd only
Show Central (2 personnel) May 3-5
Show Runner (1 person) May 3-5
Arena Set up and Tear down (8 personnel) May 1st & May 5th only
Show ring handler (4 personnel) Must have experience May 3-5
Security (2 personnel) per night 1830-0630 May 2nd (pm),
May 3rd, May 4th and May 5th (am)
