Don’t let birthing season catch you unprepared! Luckily most births are textbook and need no assistance—but what if you find yourself with one that is not going according to plan? This class is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to know how to assist, and when to call the vet.
This is a must have hands-on clinic for new breeders, those thinking about purchasing alpacas or experienced breeders who need a refresher. Be sure your new and potential clients know about it! There is a minimum of 10 attendees to hold the class.
The morning session is classroom and the afternoon session will be a wet lab with cadavers. Please don't wear good clothes! You will gown up and glove up for the wet lab.
The instructor for the class will be Dr. Signe Balch, a well-known and respected camelid veterinarian.
Lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you are a vegetarian when you register.
Masks may be required. That will be up to CSU and we will let registrants know.
